Leadership Development Programs
Leadership for Executive Advancement and Development (LEAD)
Nurse Scholars Academy and Learning & Development are proud to present the Leadership for Executive Advancement and Development (LEAD) program. For aspiring directors and senior leaders, participants are identified by the local and regional Talent councils. This program develops a pipeline of well-prepared Senior and Executive succession candidates for positions in Patient Care Services, Quality, and Continuum of Care.
Kaiser Permanente Leadership University (KPLU) NCAL
Kaiser Permanente Leadership University (KPLU) Northern California offers immersive leadership development opportunities. These include the Emerging Leaders Development Program (ELDP), Navigate: New Manager, Activate: Frontline Leader, and Elevate Diversity in Leadership Program. These programs help amplify and transform your ability as a nurse leader.
Certificate and Professional Development Programs
Nationally recognized programs are available to help advance your knowledge, skills, and abilities as a nurse leader. Explore suggested programs and learn how to use National Tuition Reimbursement to help cover the expenses.
National Certification Programs
We encourage our nurse leaders to become nationally certified within their area of specialty. Nationally certified nurses report greater job satisfaction, validation of knowledge, and access to broader career opportunities. Reimbursement opportunities are also available.
Education Programs
MSN Program
Return to the University of San Francisco for your Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). This degree program is designed to prepare nurses to lead interprofessional teams at the unit level, encouraging a coordinated approach to patient care in often complex environments. Financial support for this program is available upon approval.
Choice Program
The Choice program for KFH/HP nurses is no longer accepting new participants. Generous financial assistance is available to KFH/HP NCAL non-represented benefited (20+ hours) registered nurse employees for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees at accredited universities and colleges. Tuition reimbursement and employee discounts are also available.
TPMG Choice Program
Generous financial assistance is available to TPMG NCAL non-represented benefited (20+ hours) registered nurse employees for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees at accredited universities and colleges. Tuition reimbursement and employee discounts are also available.
RN-BSN Program
Earn your BSN at Samuel Merritt University. Generous financial assistance is available to RNs who participate in this program through our educational partner. Tuition reimbursement is also available to support this and other RN-BSN programs.
National Tuition Reimbursement
Northern California nurse leaders receive National Tuition Reimbursement. This provides reimbursement for up to $3000 annually on eligible approved expenses. These include academic and continuing education courses, and even up to $500 in travel expenses.
