The Kaiser Permanente African American Association (KPAAPA) Scholarship program is now accepting applications from Northern California high school students who are scheduled to graduate in spring 2019, college students enrolled in a nursing program, and medical-school students (entering their first year or continuing their education). KPAAPA scholarships recognize students who demonstrate academic achievement, commitment to community service, and leadership potential.

Applicants must be a permanent resident of Northern California and currently attending a high school or college in Northern California. KPAAPA is offering eight scholarships. To submit your application: create an account, complete the “My Profile” section, and fill out the application. Online applications must be submitted by Friday, May 31, 2019, at 11:59 p.m. PST.

Scholarship award winners will be notified by email in June 2019. Award winners and their families will be invited to an awards ceremony in July 2019. Details about the award ceremony will be provided closer to the date.

A check made payable to the institution listed on the award winners’ “My Profile” page will be mailed directly to their home address. The award winner is responsible for delivering the check to the financial aid office of the college or university they will attend in fall 2019.
