CRNAs Trusted Anesthesia Experts On The Frontline - AANA

National CRNA Week is the annual celebration of CRNAs and their selfless efforts to support the health care needs of the communities in which they live and work. Established by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA), this year’s National CRNA week recognizes more than 59,000 practicing nurse anesthetists as the “Trusted Anesthesia Experts on the Frontlines.”

Over the past two years, CRNAs demonstrated incredible grit and tenacity in responding to the ever-evolving world health crisis. Their unique skill set and airway management expertise made CRNAs a precious resource during pivotal moments of the pandemic and necessitated many CRNAs to transition from the operating room to the front lines.

At almost 800 strong, CRNAs are a vital part of the Kaiser Permanente nursing workforce and use their education and training to fulfill the critical care and respiratory needs of our patients.
