Nurse leaders play an essential role in leading the delivery of care and advancing the health of our nation. The system chief nurse executive role is primarily accountable for systemwide leadership. The role of the system chief nurse executive (CNE) is a subspecialty of nursing leadership and requires its own set of skills and competencies. These abilities, knowledge and behaviors are acquired through experience and education.
In response to this need, the Marian K. Shaughnessy Nurse Leadership Academy at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, Case Western Reserve University has created an innovative Executive Leadership Post-Doctoral Program for nurse leaders. There are a limited number of scholarships available!
