Enhancing Our Culture of Caring is a caring Science/heart Science education program that was developed to reconnect nurses and healthcare workers to the essence of caring healing practices. Caring Science honors the whole being – mind, body, and spirit. The Enhancing Our Culture of Caring education series provides nurses and healthcare workers with a deeper understanding of honoring the sacredness of caring for patients by engaging patients, families, and co-workers in creating authentic, caring-healing practices, and environments.
This educational series consists of four experiential modules designed to deepen nurses’ and healthcare workers’ knowledge of Caring Science and HeartMath. The modules are taught by the Caritas Coaches within Kaiser Permanente, Northern California. The modules 1 & 2 followed by 3 & 4 are presented in two 4-hour sessions, and participants can obtain CEUs. These Caring Science/Heart Science modules are open to all Kaiser Permanente employees.
